Ariana Grande’s new album “Dangerous Women” is set to drop on May 20, 2016. Ariana has been releasing previews of her upcoming album since March of this year through apple music. Her lead single “Dangerous Women” also the title of her new album debuted at No.10 on the billboards hot 100. Ariana is making history by being the firsts artist to have lead singles in the top 10 of the billboards from three back to back albums.
Her new album is showing us a side of her that we have yet to see. From teen star to a dangerous women Ariana is leaving her mark. She’s showing off her more seductive side with a taste of class. Her video from the album “Dangerous Women” is available to view on vevo and youtube already rolling in 98 million views. Her new video and single that was recently released with a feature from Lil Wayne “Let Me Love You” is available to view on apple music. One of my favorites from this album is featuring Future “Everyday” with an unexpected chorus but catchy tune that makes you want to have it on repeat. Another favorite is “Side to Side” featuring Nicki Minaj, which is a great summer jam. Another great collab is with Macy Gray “Leave me Lonely” with its soulful sounds and R&B mix.
The original title of the album was Moonlight which was shared with fans on Jimmy Kimmel live. Grande later on reveled on her Snapchat and Twitter that the album would be titled after her lead single “Dangerous Women”, the reasoning behind this change was inspired by the novelist Nawal El Saadawi’s.
“They said, ‘You are a savage and dangerous woman.’ I am speaking the truth. And the truth is savage and dangerous”.
The quote inspired Ariana and she stated that the change was to portray herself and empower fans that she is a strong person and a dangerous women.
