G.O.O.D Music Label, short for ‘Getting Out Our Dreams’ was founded in 2004 by tastemaker Kanye West in conjunction with Sony BMG. During the the time of it’s birth, the label consisted of Ye himself alongside well-respected artists Common & John Legend. The years following the label’s inauguration were extremely successful, with Grammy nominated albums like Common’s ‘Be‘ & Legend’s ‘Get Lifted‘, GOOD Music was a testimony & a shift in the Hip-Hop game early on. The difference between this particular label, and the reason it stood out as it did was highly due to it’s specific selection of good-ass-real-talented musicians. The title as well as the branding behind the label all made sense, & it continues to do the same today! With talent expanding, the label has done so too, diversifying it’s sound and eccentricity through different iconic artists, such as Mos Def, Q Tip, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, Big Sean, Travis Scott, Cyhi The Prynce, Teyana Taylor, Hit-Boy, and D’banj, amongst more. It goes without saying, but GOOD Music has some of the best artists of our generation on their roster. The root behind it all? Cultivating ‘Good Music’.

From it’s first initial ‘College Dropout’ in 2004, to the Grammy Family projects, back to the popular G.O.O.D Friday tracks, we re-visit some of our favorite videos & tracks coming out the label! Peep the following, as we go through the label’s roster.
