Only a year after he released his mixtape More Life Drake comes back with a 90 minute, 25 track double album Scorpion. The album was released alongside the self-aware editors’ note:

“I hate when Drake raps. Drake sings too much. Drake is a pop artist. Drake doesn’t even write his own songs. Drake took an L. Drake didn’t start from the bottom. Drake is finished. I like Drake’s older stuff. Drake makes music for girls. Drake thinks he’s Jamaican. Drake is an actor. Drake changed. Anybody else > Drake … Yeah yeah we know”

He also addresses the talk about his supposed secret child with porn star Sophie Brassaux, with allegations pushed on by Pusha T’s diss track The Story of Adidon earlier this year, which he deals with on the track Emotionless, on which he raps:

“I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid.”

Jay Z is featured on the album with a guest verse on the track Talk Up in which he references the recent death of XXTentacion as well as George Zimmerman, who shot unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in 2012 with the line:

“Y’all killed X and let Zimmerman live – streets is done”
