They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, that capturing a memory is everlasting. From working with some of the greatest artists in our generation from Kehlani, P-Lo, and YG you can see why Bryan Berry is someone to keep your eye on. We’ve caught up with the young photographer to see what inspires and motivates him

What is your age?

I am 24 years old

Where are you From?

I am from Pittsburg, CA

When did you pick up photography?

I took a few classes in high school at that point it was just something I found interesting but I wouldn’t say I picked it up until about 5 years ago; my freshmen year in college.

What do you think sets you apart from other photographers?

What sets me apart from other photographers? I would probably say I shoot to express the way I see something in my mind that others might not see; like the way I shoot my subjects I do the best to depict my perspective of the person, place, or thing. A lot of people have similar work, I try to only shoot things/people that inspire and move me emotionally if that makes sense?

Who’s someone that has influenced your career?

A big inspiration to me is everyone that shot me down and didn’t think I would make a way. As far as photographers, I am a big fan of Johnathan Mannion’s & Mario Testino’s work; my focus is mainly on music portraiture along with fashion so I’m pretty influenced by their expertise.

What has been your biggest project to date?

I can’t really say, I think a lot of my projects are big so I can really weigh it out.

Where do you get inspiration from?

The world around me; people, places, and ideas. My emotions are my biggest inspiration, my moods and feelings be all over the place lol so I try to portray that with my work.

What are your plans for the future?

I made myself a few goals to go on a nation wide tour, more publications rather it be magazines, album covers, etc., I have a list of artists I hope to work with before the year ends, and yea Im pretty much on the right track. my main goal/plan is to just progress as an artist, which is my goal every year.

Is there anything that you want to let anyone know about yourself that they don’t already?

I’m damn near a nice ass person, people don’t know that I’m hella shy so approach me and show love!
